Welcome to Norfolk Terrier, a simple page for people to learn more about the breed and signup for breeder alerts in your area.

Norfolk Terriers originated from Northern England. They are often referred to as the teddybear dog with a warm and affectionate temperament. In the late 19th and early 20th century they were used to fight off pesky rodents such as mice and rats. They are not to be confused with the Norwich Terriers that looks very similar. Norwich have pointy ears while the Norfolks ears are neatly dropped.

Norfolk Terriers are fairly rare with less than 500 purebred puppies born in North America every year. Canada has 11 official breeders, while the United States has 30-35 active breeders. Most breeders have 1-2 year waitlists with a strict application and interview process. Prices range from $2,000 to $15,000 depending on bloodline and breeder.
