Norfolk Terrier Breed Information

The Norfolk Terrier is very similar to the Norwich Terrier, but instead of pointed ears, the ears fold over or “drop down”. They typically weigh 9 to 16 pounds, with an ideal height of 8.5 to 11 inches (21 to 27 cm), and have a life expectancy of 9 to 14 years.

Norfolks are the smallest terrier, put make up for size with large personalities and loyalty. Don’t be fooled by the cute and cuddly breed, Norfolks are terriers after all and will push your luck and get into mischief whenever possible. They are often referred to as the teddybear dog. The breed is fairly uncommon and are can be extremely difficult to source. With less than 50 breeders in North America alone, wait lists from certified breeders can be lengthy. Some breeders have 2-3 year wait lists.
